Femi Azeez is set to undergo a late fitness assessment before Brighton & Hove Albion decide whether he can feature in their Carabao Cup third-round tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Nigeria international arrived at Brighton on transfer deadline day from Championship club Millwall, but a minor hamstring injury — sustained during Millwall's season opener against Bristol City — has so far prevented him from making his debut for the Seagulls.

Head coach Fabian Hurzeler confirmed ahead of the Old Trafford trip that Azeez would be assessed before any decision on his involvement is taken.

Fellow Nigerian Zadok Yohanna will definitely miss the cup clash, however, with the youngster not expected to return to action until after the upcoming international break.

Brighton travel to Manchester in strong form, having dismantled Coventry City 5-0 on Sunday, and will look to carry that momentum into the cup competition as they bid to advance to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
