CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe is set to travel to Tanzania and Kenya this week for a two-day tour of AFCON 2027 host venues, as preparations for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 continue to gather pace.
On Thursday, 17 September 2026, Motsepe will visit the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam before holding talks with Tanzania's government to review the country's readiness ahead of the continental tournament. A press conference is scheduled for 11h30 local time on the same day.
Kenya stop follows Dar es Salaam
Motsepe will then cross into Kenya on Friday for meetings with the Kenyan government and a hands-on inspection of facilities earmarked for the competition. The visit forms part of a broader oversight effort to ensure that both nations are meeting CAF's infrastructure, operational, and competition standards.
