Chelle Satisfied With Super Eagles' 2-2 Draw Against Poland

yesterday·1 min

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has declared himself pleased with his side's performance in Wednesday's international friendly against Poland, despite the match ending 2-2 at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw.

Nigeria took the lead in the 23rd minute through Terem Moffi, who finished from close range. The hosts levelled before half-time when Kacper Potulski drew Poland level, sending both teams into the break at 1-1.

Paul Onuachu restored Nigeria's advantage 14 minutes from full time, converting a penalty with composure. Poland, however, refused to surrender, and Przemyslaw Wiśniewski struck a stunning equaliser deep in stoppage time to earn his side a share of the spoils.

Chelle's verdict on the result

The Nigeria coach said the scoreline accurately captured the balance of the contest, while acknowledging the hosts could have done more damage in the second half.
