Ferguson Eyes Rangers Return as Transfer Gossip Swirls Around Scottish Clubs

41 minutes ago·2 min

Bologna and Scotland midfielder Lewis Ferguson has revealed he harbours ambitions of playing for Rangers at some point in his career, adding a fresh talking point to an already busy Scottish transfer gossip cycle.

The 27-year-old, currently plying his trade in Serie A with Bologna, made the admission in comments reported by The National, making clear that a move to Ibrox remains a personal goal.

Curtis attracting loan suitors

Meanwhile, attention closer to home is falling on Rangers winger Findlay Curtis. The 20-year-old is said to be drawing loan interest from Scottish Premiership clubs as well as sides in England, with his lack of starting opportunities at Rangers pushing him toward a temporary exit ahead of the January window.

Manager Derek McInnes, however, is reportedly uncertain about the future of another wide player in his squad. The Herald reports that McInnes remains in the dark over whether Stuttgart's Badredine Bouanani — currently on loan at Rangers — could make his move permanent. The 21-year-old's situation is yet to be clarified by the German club.

Arsenal circle teenage right-back

In one of the more striking pieces of transfer news to emerge from Scotland, Arsenal are reported to be tracking 15-year-old Rangers right-back Kai Urban. According to Football Insider, the Premier League giants are plotting a move for the teenage defender.

Celtic open to selling Ralston

Across the city, Celtic are reportedly prepared to part ways with right-back Anthony Ralston should interest materialise in January. The 27-year-old Scotland international's future at the club is uncertain, with Football Insider suggesting Celtic would sanction a sale if an offer arrived during the winter window.

Aberdeen move to tie down teenage striker

Aberdeen are in talks with Andrew Fasanya — already the club's youngest-ever first-team player — over a first professional contract. The striker is set to turn 16 in December, and despite reported interest from English clubs, Aberdeen are working to keep him. The Daily Record reports the deal is being pursued despite competition from south of the border.
