Gift Orban Joins Turkish Side Amedspor on Loan From Hoffenheim

Nigeria striker Gift Orban has completed a loan move to Turkish Süper Lig side Amedspor, with TSG Hoffenheim confirming the agreement on their official website.
The 22-year-old arrives in Diyarbakir having spent last season on loan at Hellas Verona in Italy, where he contributed seven goals and two assists across 28 appearances.
Purchase option included
Hoffenheim's announcement confirmed that the loan deal contains a conditional purchase clause. "The loan agreement now concluded with the club Amed SFK from the city of Diyarbakir includes a subsequent purchase option, which can become an obligation to purchase under certain conditions," the club stated.
Sporting director Paul Pajduch explained the reasoning behind the transfer, noting that Orban's performances at Hellas Verona had attracted considerable interest from multiple clubs.
"After his good scoring rate at Hellas Verona, we received several inquiries for him. Together we decided to transfer to Amed SFK, where he can demonstrate his qualities in an intensive league," Pajduch said.
Orban's recent career path
Orban joined Hoffenheim from French club Olympique Lyon in January 2025 and went on to score four goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances for the German club before this latest move to Turkey.
