Leeds United are on the verge of signing Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford in a deal worth around $53 million, sources have told ESPN.

The move would see Trafford return to the Championship with Leeds, who are pushing to secure a top-flight return after narrowly missing out on promotion last season.

Trafford has been identified as a priority target for Leeds as they look to strengthen between the sticks ahead of what they hope will be a promotion campaign.
