Jack Grealish has been left out of Manchester City's travelling squad for their pre-season tour of Hong Kong and Seoul, despite having returned to training at the club last week.

The 30-year-old midfielder was seen at City's pre-season sessions but will not be part of the 11-day trip, with sources indicating he is still recovering from a serious foot injury suffered in January during a loan spell at Everton. That injury not only ended his time at Hill Dickinson Stadium but also extinguished any realistic chance of representing England at the World Cup.

Uncertain future at the Etihad

Grealish's position at Manchester City grows increasingly precarious. He enters the final 12 months of his contract on reported wages of £300,000 a week, with no indication that new terms are forthcoming. New manager Enzo Maresca, who replaced Pep Guardiola, has stopped short of ruling out a future for Grealish at the club.
