OGC Nice sporting director Roger Ricort has confirmed that striker Terem Moffi is set for a permanent departure from the Ligue 1 club before the end of the summer transfer window.
Moffi spent the second half of last season on loan at Portuguese champions FC Porto after falling out of favour at Nice. The move followed a turbulent period at the club, including a November incident in which Moffi and teammate Jeremie Boga were confronted by angry supporters after a home defeat to Lorient.
Boga found a way out in January, securing a loan move to Serie A giants Juventus — a deal the Italian club later made permanent. Porto, however, opted against triggering the €8 million purchase option in Moffi's loan agreement, sending the Nigeria international back to Nice.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his situation, the 27-year-old returned to pre-season training with the club this week.
Nice ready to part ways
Ricort made the club's position clear in comments quoted by GFFN, stating that Moffi features on the list of players Nice want to move on this summer.
