Postecoglou Takes Charge at Al-Nassr Following Nottingham Forest Exit

Ange Postecoglou has been named head coach of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, signing a two-year contract with the Riyadh side captained by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 60-year-old Greece-born Australian had been out of management since October last year, when Nottingham Forest dismissed him after just 39 days in the role.
Al-Nassr parted ways with veteran Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus at the end of the previous season. The 71-year-old had been at the helm when the club claimed their first-ever Saudi Pro League title in May.
A coach with silverware to his name
Postecoglou arrives in Saudi Arabia with a strong track record. He led Tottenham Hotspur to Europa League glory in 2025 and, before that, delivered back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles with Celtic.
Most recently, the Australian has been working as a television pundit for ITV during the FIFA World Cup, before landing this high-profile appointment.
