Rangers are poised to pocket a profit of around £1 million on Finland winger Oliver Antman after accepting a £4.5 million bid from Belgian side Anderlecht, according to the Scottish Sun.

The Ibrox club originally signed Antman for a reported £3.5 million, meaning the sale would represent a tidy return on an investment that failed to fully deliver in Glasgow. Former Rangers loanee Vaclav Cerny has emerged as one of the names shortlisted to fill the vacancy left by Antman's departure.

McInnes ban appeal

Rangers manager Derek McInnes will take his place in the dugout for the Scottish Premiership opener against Dundee United on Friday, despite a four-game touchline ban handed down by the SFA. The club are appealing the punishment, which allows McInnes to remain pitchside while the process plays out.

Celtic and Brentford at odds over Arthur

Celtic's pursuit of defender Benjamin Arthur has hit a roadblock, with Brentford rejecting a permanent transfer offer for the player who spent last season on loan at Parkhead.
