Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have reached an agreement worth £68.3 million to acquire winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham, with the 24-year-old Netherlands international cleared to complete a medical.

Summerville has been offered a long-term contract by the Riyadh-based club. West Ham had earlier turned down an approach of around £40 million for the player, who had also been linked with Aston Villa, but a transfer to Saudi Arabia now appears imminent.

A windfall for relegated West Ham

The deal represents a significant financial boost for West Ham, who suffered relegation from the Premier League in May and have since been working to reduce their wage bill and generate transfer revenue.

Last month, the club sold midfielder Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham Hotspur for £85 million. In contrast, forward Jarrod Bowen will remain at the club after agreeing to revised terms ahead of their Championship campaign.

West Ham have chosen to retain manager Nuno Espirito Santo as they target an immediate return to the top flight in the 2026-27 season.
