Alex Jimenez Joins Fiorentina on Loan From Bournemouth

Bournemouth defender Alex Jimenez has joined Serie A club Fiorentina on a season-long loan, with the Italian side holding a €20 million (£17 million) option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the deal.
The move comes after the 21-year-old was suspended by Bournemouth pending an investigation into social media allegations. The club dropped him from first-team duties in May, describing the matter as a "serious" issue connected to "posts circulating on social media."
Bournemouth issued a brief statement wishing the player well. "The club wishes Alex well for the season ahead as he links up with Fiorentina," the Cherries said.
Jimenez first arrived at Bournemouth on loan from AC Milan before the south coast club secured his services on a permanent basis in February, signing a contract through to 2031.
The Spain Under-21 international featured 32 times for Bournemouth last season, contributing one goal during the campaign.
