Club Brugge are holding out for €10 million to sell Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika, with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt leading the chase for his signature.

Eintracht Frankfurt submitted a bid for the Nigerian international last week, but the offer fell short of Club Brugge's valuation. Despite the gap, negotiations between the two clubs remain active, with both sides hopeful of reaching a deal in the coming days.

Onyedika, 25, has entered the final year of his contract with the Belgian champions, and has repeatedly turned down attempts by the club to extend his deal. The former FC Midtjylland man is determined to move on this summer in search of a fresh challenge.

That reluctance to renew has left Club Brugge in a difficult position — they must sell him during the current transfer window or risk losing him for nothing when his contract expires next year.

The Belgian side's stance represents a major climbdown from their position just 12 months ago, when they rejected a €15 million offer from fellow Bundesliga club Wolfsburg for the midfielder. Their reduced asking price reflects the reality of his contract situation.

Eintracht Frankfurt are reported to have already agreed personal terms with Onyedika, meaning a deal could hinge entirely on the two clubs settling their difference in valuation.
