Aston Villa in Talks to Sign Chelsea Winger Alejandro Garnacho on Loan

Aston Villa are in advanced talks to bring Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho to Villa Park on loan, with a potential obligation to buy the 21-year-old Argentina international at the end of the arrangement.
Chelsea had listed Garnacho for outright sale at £43 million last month, but the club are now willing to let him leave on an initial loan basis — one that could become permanent. The development comes days after Chelsea struck a record £117 million agreement to sign Villa's Morgan Rogers on Saturday.
A deal linked to the Rogers transfer
Following the Rogers move, discussions involving both Garnacho and striker Nicolas Jackson — available for £65 million — were held as part of a separate arrangement that would send them in the opposite direction, towards Villa Park.
Should the Garnacho deal be completed, he would become Villa's fourth summer signing, joining Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, and Modou Kaba Cisse, who have all made the move to the Midlands this window.
Heavy summer business at Villa Park
Villa have also overseen significant departures, with outgoing player sales totalling nearly £200 million. Youri Tielemans, Donyell Malen, Enzo Barrenechea, and Lewis Dobbin are among those who have left the club.
Chelsea themselves have moved quickly to reshape their squad despite having signed Garnacho only last September in a £40 million deal from Manchester United. United retain a 10 percent sell-on clause in any future transfer involving the winger.
Garnacho's contribution at Stamford Bridge has been modest — a single Premier League goal — and the arrivals of Rogers and Sporting winger Geovany Quenda have intensified the pressure on Chelsea to trim their squad numbers heading into the new season.
