Stade de Reims have secured the signature of Nigerian teenager Abdoulaye Agbejoye, who arrives from Grassrunners FC Academy and joins the French club's academy setup.

The 18-year-old striker will continue his development within the club's youth structure, with the long-term goal of breaking into the first team.

A standout season for Agbejoye

Agbejoye caught the eye of European scouts after a remarkable campaign with Grassrunners FC Academy, where he finished as both top scorer and best player of the Nigerian Youth League Cup.

He netted 19 goals in 19 appearances throughout that season — a record that cemented his standing as one of Nigeria's most exciting young attacking talents.

The teenager also represented Nigeria at the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship in Cote d'Ivoire, earning further recognition with the Flying Eagles.

Second Grassrunners signing for Reims

Agbejoye's move to Stade de Reims is part of a growing relationship between the French club and Grassrunners FC Academy. Reims had already signed his compatriot Godwin Itotomi from the same Nigerian academy, making Agbejoye the second player from that setup to make the move to France.

The deal signals Stade de Reims' continued investment in African youth talent as they build their academy pipeline for the future.
