Diomansy Kamara, the agent representing Ismaïla Sarr and Lamine Camara, has spoken out against football clubs that he accuses of treating African players as little more than tradeable assets rather than human beings with careers and aspirations.

His statement, posted on his official Instagram account on Wednesday, came in the wake of a turbulent transfer deadline day. Crystal Palace refused to sanction Sarr's move to Liverpool, while a proposed £47 million transfer that would have taken Camara from AS Monaco to Chelsea fell through entirely.

A call for players' voices to be heard

Kamara was direct in his criticism, arguing that a system in which clubs hold near-total control over a player's destiny is fundamentally unjust — particularly for African footballers.
