The 2026-27 Premier League season is almost here, kicking off on Friday, 21 August with reigning champions Arsenal hosting newly promoted Coventry City. Ahead of the new campaign, we have identified one standout young prospect at each of the 20 clubs who could be on the verge of a genuine breakthrough.

Arsenal — Max Dowman (attacking midfielder/forward)

Dowman already holds the record as the youngest scorer in Premier League history, netting last season before making his first league start on the final day of the campaign. The 16-year-old made six appearances in total and scored in a pre-season friendly against Girona. Manager Mikel Arteta is expected to hand him more opportunities, both on the wing and in the number 10 role, this term.

Aston Villa — George Hemmings (midfielder)

Widely regarded as the standout talent from Aston Villa's recent academy crop, Hemmings made his senior debut at Arsenal last season and featured four times under Unai Emery, including twice in the Europa League. A goal during pre-season against Real Sociedad — in defeat — reinforced the 19-year-old's growing reputation.

Bournemouth — Veljko Milosavljevic (defender)

Centre-back Veljko Milosavljevic became Bournemouth's youngest ever Premier League starter when he lined up against Brighton in September, aged 18. The Serbia international, who joined from Red Star Belgrade for an initial £13m, featured seven times in the league before a knee injury halted his progress in January. Now 19, he will be eager to reclaim his place at Vitality Stadium.

Brentford — Kaye Furo (striker)

Brentford invested £8m in Belgian forward Kaye Furo in January, signing him from Club Brugge. The 19-year-old, standing at 6ft 3in, had Champions League experience against Arsenal before making the move to west London. He made his Premier League bow as a late substitute in a 3-0 win over West Ham in May. Bees boss Keith Andrews described him as someone the club had tracked for some time, expressing confidence that Furo would become
