Richarlison has reached a personal agreement to join Trabzonspor, with the Turkish club pressing ahead in their efforts to prise the Brazilian forward away from Tottenham Hotspur before the transfer window shuts, according to talkSPORT.

Trabzonspor have already seen two bids rejected by Spurs — a £15 million opening offer and a follow-up of £20 million — but the club are prepared to return with a third attempt. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that Richarlison stands to triple his current wages should the move materialise.

A summer of near-misses

The deal comes after a chaotic summer for the forward. Richarlison was among three Tottenham players who requested to leave, alongside Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr. Danso completed a loan move to Sunderland, while Sarr joined Juventus on a temporary basis. Richarlison, however, remained at the club.

His most realistic route out appeared to be a return to Everton, in a deal loosely linked to winger Iliman Ndiaye heading in the opposite direction. Though the two moves were presented as separate transactions, a sequence of events derailed both.

Tottenham had agreed a fee with Everton to sign Ndiaye, with Richarlison expected to return to Merseyside as part of the broader situation. That plan unravelled when Richarlison could not reach personal terms with Everton.

Simultaneously, Manchester City suffered a collapse in their pursuit of Cody Gakpo, who opted for a move to the Etihad Stadium ahead of joining Spurs. Yet even that deal fell apart — Liverpool, who held Gakpo's registration, could not find a replacement in time and were unable to sanction his sale. City then pivoted to Ndiaye, who chose Manchester City over Tottenham, leaving Spurs without their key target and Richarlison still on their books.

Trabzonspor's ambitious pursuit

Despite the summer turbulence, Trabzonspor remain determined. The Turkish side's interest in Richarlison would see him link up with Mohamed Salah at the club — a notable draw for any attacker. Manager Roberto De Zerbi publicly confirmed after Spurs' 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United at the weekend that the forward had asked to leave, signalling the club's awareness that a departure remains possible before the window closes.
