Nigeria's Flying Eagles have touched down in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire, and are settling into their base ahead of this year's WAFU B U-20 Championship, which begins this weekend.

The squad landed in Abidjan on Monday before completing the journey to Yamoussoukro by road. The Nigerian delegation is housed at the Trio Corridor Hotel as they prepare for their opening fixture.

Ghana clash opens the campaign

The defending champions will begin their title defence against Ghana's Black Satellites at the Lycée Scientifique on Monday afternoon — a rematch of the last edition's final in Lomé, where the Flying Eagles edged the Black Satellites 2-1 to claim the trophy.

Coach Abdu Maikaba's side will then take on Togo's Sparrow Hawks on Thursday before closing out their group-stage campaign against Burkina Faso's Young Stallions on Sunday, 2 August.
